SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
(A) Healthy and Toxin Free Food:
Sun Agrifresh will supply provide fresh, organic agriculture produce that will be absolutely free from harmful chemicals and pesticides widely used in conventional farming today.
(B) Education and Awareness:
The upcoming knowledge park would provide the perfect platform to impart some invaluable information to the members about the benefits of organic farming and healthy food.
(C) Setting an Example for Future Generations:
In our endeavor to set up a self sustaining organic farm that provides fresh and healthy food without exploiting Mother Nature, we hope to make a small difference by conserving the environment for future generations.
(F) Plantation:
Since the focus of ‘Fair-trade’ was in line with the Vision of the Corporation, we embraced the Fair-trade Movement across all our Plantations division in India. We share a Vision of Improvement in the basic living standards of our grass root level employees, who, we recognize are the biggest assets of the Corporation. We have been actively involved in the Fair-trade movement. In cooperation with Fair-trade, we work towards a common goal of achieving better social, economic and environmental conditions for our workers, and the community at large. The employees at all levels have been made conscious of their commitment to the local community & undertake both social and charitable contributions.
(D) Medical College and Hospital:
The promoters run an NGO called Nav Uday Educational and Charitable Society. The trust is constructing a medical college and a 750 bed hospital in Gwalior. Annually 25% of the hospital's fund will be used to treat the underprivileged people.
(E) Charitable Health Centre:
The promoters also run a Health Centre that provides basics facilities of health, sanitation and mass awakening for the under privileged. The health centre also runs and OPD for 100 patients daily, under the supervision of qualified and experienced doctors and nurses. All medicines are supplied free of cost to the patients.
